Bridgeland
WORK — PROJECT
We worked with Bridgeland to develop more connectivity within the neighbourhood, and to other parts of the city, for those on foot, bike, wheelchair, or other.
Design Schemes that the community moved forward with include the Container Couplet (now the 4th Avenue Flyover), General Plaza (traffic-calming polka-dots), and East-Riverside Greenway (inspired the East Riverside Masterplan). The latter led to our work on healthcare facilities that contribute to walkable and complete communities for the Bridgeland-Riverside Community Association. The Landscape LRT Bridge was the most popular design to emerge from our work, and continues to inspire dialogue.
For many people access to the world at large, and sometimes even their own neighbourhoods, isn’t always easy. We asked Cal Schuler to tour a neighbourhood with us and share his expertise.

Local citizens and professional designers team up to co-create healthier neighbourhoods.
